Welcome to my e-Portfolio that serves as a compilation of a variety of my writing pieces accumulated throughout my undergraduate career as a Penn State student.
Let me begin by introducing myself. I am a Psychology major with in a minor in Human Development and Family Studies in the Schreyer Honors College. I am a research assistant in the Child Attention and Learning Lab within the Child Study Center at Penn State that assesses the cognitive mechanisms associated with attention and learning problems in school-aged children. I have also served as an undergraduate Friendship Group coach where I facilitated weekly group therapy sessions with children who had a variety of developmental disorders. I have also served as a teaching assistant for a course on Infant and Early Childhood Development. As indicated by my clinical experiences, I am very interested in working with children within the helping field and plan to pursue my academic interests as I complete a Master's in School Counseling.
Being an effective communicator is a quality that all school counselors need, so I am thankful for my growth as a communicator throughout my time as an undergraduate student. Because my academic interests revolve around human development and the field of Psychology, many of my communication pieces align with those interests. However, my academic career at Penn State has allowed me to explore beyond my primary interests which is reflected predominately in my multimedia works. Feel free to peruse my e-Portfolio as you should please, and do not hesitate to contact me with any questions or comments you might have. Enjoy!
